GUEST DESIGN WORK FOR SCRAPMATTS

Good day ladies,
I trust that this post finds you all fit and well and getting to work on your layouts as it is nearly the 1st December and we all know what that means?????  Yes we will have to start working on our christmas tags, off the page items and lots more!!!!!
I have been trying to catch up on some photos from my granddaughter's birthday and also from our recent cruise.
Firstly, I would love to share this birthday photo of my sweet granddaughter with her other Nana. 'Cherish'
Here I have used a technique tearing strips of crepe paper which I have glued down on white card, I hope you agree it does give a special effect.
White Monochromatic
½ ornate frame and corners – CB4060
Assorted words – CB6071
My next layout 'Tranquility' is a photo that I took while on our cruise which I just snapped from that back of the ship.
I have used some handmade paper, netting, gauze and impesto on bubble wrap.  All teamed with
SCRAPMATTS CB6087 - Assorted Words
                       CB6064- Nautical Designs
                        CB4063- Leaf Spray
I so love using Scrapmatts Assorted words, as they are so flexible, you can see that even after painting, I was able to form it comfortably into an arc.
I hope you have enjoyed looking here and be sure to keep viewing as I will have another couple of items to share with you later on in the month  .....Love Liz :)

SCRAPMATTS GUEST DESIGNER FOR NOVEMBER

Good afternoon Ladies,
I hope that this Post finds you fit and well and getting on with your scrapbooking.  You know that Christmas is sneaking up on us and I for one have lots to accomplish before that day :)
I have once again been working with the fabulous SCRAPMATTS Chipboard and have created another couple of layouts for you to be inspired.  Be sure to check out the Online Store HERE.
My Layout 'Beautiful' I have used the Scrapmatts  Arch window frame  CB 6041 , Flowers CB1023 and Dragonflies CB1038 .
All teamed with Prima paper collection and Prima Wishing Well.  Some gesso and mirror tiles to finish off.
For my next layout 'Early Snow' I have used a photo taken by one of my Soul Scrappers Karen Findlay who resides in Canada and snapped this photo through her screen door. I thought what a stunning photograph and just wanted to put it on a Layout.
I have used the following from Scrapmatts :-
Trees – CB6051
Aust. Federation Screen Doors.  -CB 5068
Leaf Spray – CB4063
I have used 'Flower soft' on the trees and the Leaf Spray . The Screen door has netting behind it and flower soft on a small part of the door frame.
Well I hope that you have found some inspiration here and thanks so much for looking .  Till next time.........
Happy Scrapping.......Liz

GUEST DESIGNER FOR SCRAPMATTS OCT & NOV.

Good afternoon Ladies,
Well here I am again with another couple of layouts using our divine Scrapmatts chipboards.  I hope that you will find some inspiration here. This photo was taken of my little granddaughter at the circus and the excitement just oozed from her.  I used some gesso on the background so that her face was the focal point.  The technique I used is as follows:-

Glimmer misted the background paper and then randomly stamped images.
Covered with netting, muslin and coated with Opal dust.
Added  embellishments along with
Scrapmatts  divine  chipboard,
Birds – CB1088

Lamp Post – CB4028

Garden Seat – CB1167

For my next layout, I had such a lot of fun creating.  The photos are of my hubby and I when we did our last cruise and thought of the porthole idea.
As I was trimming the circles I ended up with these 'curly' bits of cardstock and thought 'yes why not', so placed them around the photos for a whimsical effect.  Teamed together with the amazing Scrapmatts chippies CB6064 Nautical Designs, which were perfect for these photos.

I trust that you have enjoyed your visit here and I look forward to seeing your work using SCRAPMATTS.
Thanks for taking the time to look.....until next time.....Happy Scrapping.....Liz

SCRAPMATTS OCTOBER CHALLENGE - BRIGHT COLOURS

Hello Ladies,

Had to share with you the current challenge running over at Scrapmatts this month.  Using their chipboard the challenge is to use brights on it.  I decorated mine with Liquid Pearls, such a lovely effect.

My Layout here that I have created started with kraft card covered in crepe paper applied with liquid glue, the sprayed with glimmer mist -
I then mixed different colours of Liquids with Impesto and applied with to my new Maya Road template.  I think you will agree the effect is certainly different.

While I was cleaning off my spatula using my moist toweletts I had kept it on top of my bin and when it dried I had this effect................so decided to use it under my matted photo.
I hope that you are a little inspired to go 'outside your comfort zone'.  I can tell you that it is great fun . Thanks for taking the time to look and stay tuned, more coming :)
